Business card QR code

Put your contact details in a QR code: whoever scans it can save your name, company, phone, email and website straight to their phone’s contacts, without typing.

Scanning the code offers to save the contact in one tap. Fill in only what you want to share.

How a contact QR code works

The code carries a vCard, the standard contact format iPhone and Android understand. When scanned, the phone shows the card and offers a button to save it to contacts.

The details live in the code itself, so it works offline and depends on no website. The trade-off: changing a detail means generating and printing a new code.

Fewer fields, easier to scan

Every field makes the QR code denser. On a small business card, a code with few fields prints larger and scans more easily. Name, mobile and email are usually enough.

When to use it

  • Printed business cards
  • Badges at trade shows and events
  • Reception desks
  • Email signatures and slides

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a QR code that saves a contact?

Fill in your details on this page and download the QR code. Anyone scanning it with a phone camera sees the card and saves it in one tap.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The code uses the vCard format, which both systems’ cameras recognise.

Are my details stored on a server?

No. The QR code is generated in your browser and the details live only in the code. Nothing is sent or stored.
