Your QR code appears here

Fill in the fields and the preview appears automatically.

Step by step

  1. Enter the phone number with its area code. Dashes, brackets and spaces are fine.
  2. Optionally, write the message that will already be typed in.
  3. Check the preview and the normalised international number.
  4. Download as PNG or SVG and use it in your material.

How the phone number is handled

WhatsApp requires the number in international format, with no punctuation and with the country code in front. The generator converts it for you: type 11 91234-5678 and it produces 5511912345678 automatically.

If you paste a number that already starts with the country code, it is recognised and not duplicated. Nine-digit mobiles and eight-digit landlines are both accepted, and any non-digit character — dash, dot, bracket, space, plus sign — is ignored. Number normalisation currently targets Brazilian numbers.

A pre-filled message is what lifts conversion

A QR code that opens an empty chat pushes the effort onto the customer: they have to work out what to say. With the first message pre-filled, all they do is hit send — friction drops and the contact arrives already qualified.

Use the message to identify where the contact came from. "Hi! I scanned the code on table 4" or "I would like a quote for the annual plan" tell you, in the first line, which piece of material produced the lead and what they want. If you run several materials, generate a different code for each one with a distinct message and find out which one actually brings contacts.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. The code uses the official wa.me link, which behaves the same in regular WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business, on Android, iPhone and WhatsApp Web. Whoever scans it does not need your number saved in their contacts.

If you already use quick replies in Business, the combination is natural: the customer arrives with a standardised message and you answer with a saved shortcut.

When to use it

  • WhatsApp support on a shop window
  • Quick quotes on service vehicles
  • Ordering from a delivery menu
  • After-sales support in a manual or on packaging
  • Agent contact details on a property sign

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a WhatsApp QR code with a pre-filled message?

Enter the number with its area code and write the text in the initial message field. The generated QR code opens the chat with that text already typed, leaving the customer only to hit send.

Do I need to add the country code in front of the number?

No. Enter just the area code and number, such as 11 91234-5678. The generator adds the country code automatically, and if you paste one it recognises it rather than duplicating it.

Does the QR code work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. It uses the official wa.me link, which works the same way in regular WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business, on both Android and iPhone.

Does the person scanning need my number saved?

No. The link opens the chat directly, without requiring the number to be in their contacts.

Can I use a landline number?

You can generate the code for a landline, but the chat will only open if that number has an active WhatsApp account, which is common on WhatsApp Business lines.

Can I tell how many people scanned it?

Not with a static QR code, which does not pass through any intermediary server. A practical alternative is to use a different initial message on each piece of material and count, in your own WhatsApp, how many chats arrived with each text.
